Today, for those of you who don’t know, marks the 20th Anniversary of the US release of the first Harry Potter book.
The Harry Potter series is something that is very near and dear to my heart. It shaped a lot of my childhood, got me interested in writing, and made me believe that women can do absolutely anything. It was also some of my earliest exposure to horror because despite being a clear part of the fantasy genre, there were moments that I remember keeping me up at night, even now, twenty years later.
So, as my first article for Women in Horror Month, and for the 20th Anniversary of one of my favorite series, I’m proud to present to you my top picks for Top 13 Scariest Things in the Harry Potter Books.
